EAI and SOA

Integration companies are moving twards service direction (ESB’s)……….so v will see a lot of integration tools to facilitate the development of services
In SOA ,it is the current applications that have to be enhanced to take advantage of SOA ………..

One of the good thing about SOA is that no dt repository is required (ex event à service àprocessàresult ).Now if data repository is not required then most of the pure play integration suites are not needed ………since what pure play integration broker suites are selling is their---------- messaging technology (repository) + development tool kit to facilitate their implementation .

But if v r interested in BAM,BPM ,BI……….then these integration suits help us to develop fast and cheaper .

BAM ---------in 2003 BAM has d following limitation
It’s costly
It’s vendor dependent
It overlaps with BI type of solution .

One thought is that for a successful management of EAI infrastructure and bussniss continuity upport operation ,,,,,,,,,,,v need bussnis transaction event monitoring .this will have two parts one that will take middleware specific events (messages,database perations)
And other will take care of application specific events(Siebel,WF operation )………..together these two should provide complete pitcture of what is happening in the production environment at the vent level so that it can b tracked in the event of exception

Visualisation of datawarehouse (BI)and and real time PROCESS AND ACTIVITY monitoring where instant changes or decisions can b made (BAM )
With distributed datasources BI analysis tools should be able to parse , tranorm , filter ,and interpret the data in a way that bussniss community needs .
Most of the EAI tools ,products or technologies r based on a message oriented midd;eware ,message brokers ,application adapters

JMS API to communicate (point to point or publish /subscribe)
…….JCA to build adapters to connect with ur applications ……….jta 4r ur transactions…………..in away v have every thing to nterate the system v want but then this shall mean a lot of code ……….here integration products facilitate and speed up implementation of our integration project ………..

In 1997 v had got d name EAI ………..at that time EAI had to deal with only those aspects of middleware that were specifically about connectivity…………but since then EAI has grown up a lot …………and has included process definition ,B@B Protocls

………if v look at different platforms ……..j2ee , .net ,web spheres ………….v shall realize that beyond connectivity problem ………everything is pretty much same ………ex sync async messaging ,connection and message driven code………a mix of graphical and code bae development

Some intresting things to talk about XML

XML was invented by guys who wanted to sell u RAM and bandwidth ………

XML is not very suitable 4r large data files ,nor 4r data xchange b/w 2 “known systems ………..
Xml is gud 4r small bits n pieces of data …………..many systems have xml export /import facility which makes it easy to extract and load xml data ………though xml is a large datafrmat …………..it has validation advantages against dtd or schema…………….
Also building a building an export/import engine using standard xml dom objects is very simple

…………all Microsoft xchange r build on xml (future)……….Biztalk is xml based…………ebxml is another project undergoing ……..
